The Cannery at Del Monte Square. The Cannery is a well known mixed use retail and office property in the Fisherman’s Wharf district of San Francisco. The property has a long and varied history. It was built as a fruit cannery in 1906 by predecessors of the Del Monte Corporation. The Cannery was redeveloped in the 1960’s, gaining acclaim not only as a vibrant retail center but also as a pioneer in the adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

Patson acquired the property in 2007 under a joint venture with Vornado Realty Trust, and is now in the planning stages of a repositioning effort which will bring needed structural, accessibility, and sustainability upgrades and put in place a new mix of retail and restaurant uses.
